The First Book
Ode To Goddess” (creation)

Sky To Sea

By the will of my goddess these words come,
responsible for creation of life under sun.
Her work is everywhere, without any avail,
it is from her hand that I bring this tale.
A sacred story of creation that must be told,
for everything born, conceived or foaled.
Flowers found on trees, blossoms on ground,
everywhere there is beauty her work is found.
Seeing an empty sky, she put life in the air,
birds took flight, painted with beauty and care.
Looking to the oceans, noticing they were empty,
she put there coral, plankton, creatures plenty.
Gazing back to the land she was truly moved,
made varying animals, some clawed others hoofed.
Moving over the land, found a desert dead and dry,
so desolate and forsaken our goddess did cry.
Her tears flowed forth flooding the sand,
by her tears an oasis was born, life was at hand.
Leaving the oasis northward she would go,
the mountains found, placed trees covered in snow.
Here she rested, growing tired from the trek,
near a bird with red hood and band on it's neck.
The fowl was cold, hungry, it would soon be dark,
she placed for it beetles with in the trees bark.
There for the night goddess slept in the snow,
during the cold, leaves on trees fall and go.
Our goddess awoke to find all the trees bare,
thus she made conifers, green would be there.
The cold of this land was more than creatures could bare,
seeing them shiver, she gave them coats of winter hair.
In this frozen Eden our goddess would stay,
helping each creature in it's own unique way.
A fortnight had passed it was now time to go,
leaving the highlands, goddess came to shores below.

The Lions Transformed

Here the coastline reached as far as the eye could see,
on warm sand were lions, they numbered three.
Each looked disheartened, as if longing for something,
goddess entered their group, their joy she would bring.
She spoke to the first who gazed out to the sea,
he said unto her, "Set me in the oceans where I can be free".
Thinking a moment of this cat's heart torn,
she cast upon him a spell, thus the sealion was born.
Turning to the second, "What is your plight my friend ?"
"I don't like how I look goddess, not meaning to offend."
Looking at this male lion , feeling his pain,
she gave unto him, gift of a beautiful mane.
Goddess said to him, " you're now king, all answer to thee.
You now rule all of the land, this a gift from me."
She rolled over sand, looked at the lioness who was displeased,
"Why are you so sad my sister, what plight you need eased ?"
Lioness, "I wanted the same as the last, to rule my kind,
yet you gave that gift to him, thus I changed my mind.
I'd like to be queen, free to chose my own mate."
Goddess knew what to do, Queen the Hyena, born this date.
She said to the new queen, "Beware of that king,
for you and he will compete for most everything."
The hyena now rose letting a laugh, "I think not,
you see my goddess, what he knows was from me taught."
Goddess smiled to the new queen, "You my child think like me,
I give another gift, the males of your kind in service to thee."
Another bit of work complete she lay, warm sand, under sun,
these three great cats thanked her for all she had done.

The Raven Born

On the beach our goddess would stay no less than a week,
the weather did change, fog rolling in, colored gray and bleak.
Throughout the wind, the rain, tides high and low,
Along the shore, a diversity of life our goddess would sow.
From the smallest of microbial form to the largest of birds,
She made new life that now covered the shore in herds.
The sun had returned, everywhere life now abound,
birds all came to the shore, feast of insects found.
Many a varying bird came to goddess with differing concern,
each had varying thoughts on that which they yearn.
The first of these fowl was a small and humble crow,
He perched at goddess’ side, told of a problem so she would know.
Crow, “All of the others, brother, sister  play tricks on me,
their jokes and teasing from which I would like to be free.
Goddess was so saddened by this, down her cheek, a tear,
how in her creations this petty cruelty could appear.
She talked to the crow, finding out every detail,
it was then that her wrath upon the others would hail.
Goddess, “The others of your kind will receive no gift,
from this day forth upon the earth they will drift.
To you my small friend, I give you greater size,
you are now the trickster, both intelligent and wise.
There is yet another gift I will bestow upon you,
your  color, the deepest of black, you will shine blue.
Now be on your way my friend but do nothing graven,
you are the most majestic of birds, you are Raven.”
Raven spread his great wings, amazed at his size,
I thank you from my heart goddess for making me wise.
I will heed your words, understanding what you say,
the tricks I play on others, harming them in no way.
I will teach your wisdom to all creatures of the land,
from the highest of mountains to the beaches sand.”
The raven continued, “ My goddess I would like to do this,
teach my old brothers and sisters, to them I have no malice.
The curse upon them I do not want for you to remove of lift,
I will show them love and compassion while over land they drift.”
Goddess was incredibly impressed with Ravens heart and mind,
he would still help his brothers and sisters who were so unkind.

The Fire of the Plains

When the week had ended goddess had helped all at hand,
she bid farewell to Raven and went into the heartland.
Beautiful grass covered meadow, and rolling plains,
in summer frequented by fierce thunderstorm rains.
Goddess watched as lightning struck ground, it sparked a fire,
The flames grew into a blaze almost equaling hell’s pyre.
She looked onto this scourge, inferno of destruction,
it burnt away, stole her land, her beautiful production.
Something had to be done, a cure to this plague found,
goddess changed the course of wind, back to blackened ground.
The flames now fought each other running out of fuel,
from the wind that drove this death, became a saviors tool.
Goddess walked over the scorched land seeing what was lost,
she learned a lesson that day from earth with extreme cost.
She now used the burnt ashes, life’s remains to enrich the soil,
never again  would this fiery plague of death her plans foil.
During the next day in the midst of more passing rains,
goddess contrasted black with blooming flowers upon plains.
She summoned up the small animals from all around,
to them to ovoid the fires, by digging their lairs in ground.
Seeking out the larger creatures, ones that on grasses graze,
she taught them how to judge the winds, ovoid flame, smoke haze.

The Doe’s Fawn

Life had been reborn after this natural wrath,
now other animals of goddess sought help in their path.
Goddess watched a mother doe, birthing her foal,
the born now struggled to stand, this his first goal.
After the young one had fed he set out on his first walk,
he spotted our goddess and broke  a trot, to her wished to talk.
Foal, “Since my mother birthed me into this wonderful world,
you are the most beautiful yet that my eyes behold.”
Goddess went into a blush, this you one had great charm,
she had place for him in her heart, would protect him from harm.
Goddess, “Come with me child, I shall teach you to hide in grasses,
still you must stay, do not move untill your predator passes.”
The little one played near goddess dancing and running around,
he understood goddess’ meaning, practiced laying on grassy ground.
One of the other deer now came to goddess, the mother doe,
doe, “My son has explained what you taught, this others must know.
I ask you goddess if I may teach this to the others, my friends,
they too need this knowledge to keep young from predators ends.”
Goddess, “Of course you may, give these teachings to all other deer,
you are all my children, all lives are sacred, to my heart near.”
Doe, ”Thank you goddess, to the other mothers I teach your words,
and I will have them teach this to the mothers in all other herds.
When all the young lay still on ground, hiding in this way,
they will thank you for this blessing, to ovoid being prey.”
Our goddess was almost on her way, stopping to give foal a kiss,
he was so innocent and pure, him our goddess would truly miss.
She walked along the edge of a river, twisting through the land,
came upon a great valley, she encountered something unplanned.

Vale Of Death

As the river wound it’s way into this vale its waters turned red,
the soil here, to much clay, nothing lived, it was dead.
To either side of what was now a canyon were spires, capstones,
protruding from ancient rocks were many fossils and bones.
The Place was foreboding, totally unlike anything she had ever seen,
devoid of all life, not even the smallest speck of green.
Goddess was enthralled here, so many skeletons, many eons old,
she knew little of these creatures, tales from childhood she was told.
Very long ago, before the race of gods, Nibiru, came to collide,
Tiamat, mother of life and all the life that was upon her had died.
Nibiru’s moon struck deep into the core of Tiamat’s heart,
Tiamat’s own motion, her spin, then tore her apart.
The Life and creatures, the giants living on this ancient world,
were incased in rock, others far into frozen space hurled.
It was the most cataclysmic of disaster nature ever conceived,
until now it was something in which our goddess never believed.
She walked around this vale, thinking, restore life to this dead land,
it would be an unusual conception of creation that she planned.
Many days did pass before goddess’ plan would be ployed,
the life here to remind all of a death, of a world destroyed.
A fossil inspired the creation of scorpions with poison sting,
another, serpent encased in stone, rattlesnake, death it could bring.
The flora here was also created different, an ominous way born,
covered in spikes and thorns, to brush against, leaving skin torn.
Everything had a different kind of beauty, interestingly obscure,
with the most vivid of her imagination goddess this did procure.
There were other creatures now that were to be made,
some would bask in the sun for warmth, others prey in the shade.
Now goddess sought to leave this vale of ancient death,
she had blessed it in such a unique way with life’s breath.

Circle of the Glade

Goddess left this river and moved south finding another,
this one she followed east, to the greatest of rivers this was mother.
Eventually this great river turned south, by tributaries fed,
now it was greater than the Nile, to a massive glade it lead.
An enormous wetland, created, by this giant of a river,
it all originated in far away mountains, born from a glacier.
This place goddess loved, it had so much natural potential,
to all the life born here, in this place, water was essential.
Every creation was in its own way completely unique,
from the mighty alligator, to tiny tadpoles, fragile and weak.
Although this place was filled with beauty and charm,
there were many perils here, some causing extreme harm.
With colored bands as bright as coral was one deadly snake,
just one bite, nervous system collapses, life it would take.
Others, brightly colored for warning, poison for their protection,
and those that lurk for their prey, camouflage to ovoid detection.
Some were hunters in the day, and others predators of the night,
they could kill their prey so fast that they couldn’t even fight.
The circle of life that goddess created here, revolved, life and death,
from the death of one would come to another, life’s breath.
The circle would apply to all, even the flowers that bloom,
for them to have the seeds of children sewn, welcome their doom.
Some birds would hunt for fish, killing for a primal need,
it was so that life could continue, it was for their young to feed.
So many depended on each other, nourishment they obtain,
it was goddess’ way of nature, just like wind, sun, rain.

Transformation of Mouse

As she walked along the marsh, a small mouse came her way,
climbing to the top of a reed, to goddess, something to say.
Mouse, ”As I sway on the top of a read I pretend I can fly,
you gave this gift only to the birds goddess, tell me why ?”
My little friend you pose to me an interesting question,
go back to your home, sleep till dusk, an I will grant your obsession.
When you awaken you will find yourself blind, but do not fear,
your ears shall become your eyes, with them you see and hear.
You will from now on life your life in the dark of the night,
during the day you will stay hidden sleeping out of sight.
You will be able to fly better than the most agile of bird,
never equaled by anything that flies, to this you have my word.”
The mouse respectfully thanked goddess and went back to his lair,
he fell asleep, entered into dreams of flying in the night air.
When mouse awoke he found himself blind, now in a world of sound,
arms now wings, he let out a few clicks to see what was around.
Mouse was no longer a mouse, he was now mammal of air, Bat,
his greatest dreams had come true, goddess to thank for that.
The next morning the weather did change, it began to rain,
it was unrelenting for many days, forthcoming, disaster, pain.
Thousands of creatures were trapped on islands of depleting ground,
those who couldn’t fly or swim would be in their death beds found.
Bat helped his fellow mouse by ferrying them to land by air,
he did this by day and night, a being of compassion and care.
Allot did die over many days until the river receded,
yet all creatures survived as goddess gave what they needed.

Eden

Since our goddess began upon her journey months had passed,
she visited everywhere that the seeds of life had been cast.
Now she would return to the land between two rivers,
a place between the Tigris and the Euphrates, the life givers.
It was here that goddess had descended from heaven,
this is where she had left the magnificent stairway to heaven.
Goddess spent much time here, awaiting the time of ascent,
she created here a paradise in the two months that went.
This was “Eden”, the name meant paradise in her tongue,
here was where goddess first sewed life, this is where it had begun.
Goddess created Eden as a place for the other gods to enjoy,
it was truly beautiful beyond description, her pride and joy.
At one end of the garden were gates, to the stairway they lead,
at the other was a pure spring, it’s waters, life they fed.
Goddess ensured everything was perfect, the gods be pleased,
she looked forward to going home, welcome to her loneliness eased.
For a very  long time she had missed the touch of her husband,
she longed so much for him, his touch, touch of her brother’s hand.
It was essentially for him that she had made Eden, born from love,
in a moment of loneliness goddess created the white dove.
Now came the time of ascent, goddess would climb the stair,
she would ride a column of fire to the heavens, through the air.
Finally our goddess would return to her home at long last,
in a state of sleep she would stay until the journey passed.
She would return to earth with the next passing of Nibiru,
three thousand, six hundred years, coming creation anew.
